The City of Fontana through the Community Services Department will be hosting the 54th Annual Fontana Days Run on Saturday, June 6, 2009. The City of Fontana Half Marathon Course has been recognized as the fastest in the world. The half marathon began back in 1955 with a reported 200 participants. Race founders were unaware that the annual half marathon would grow to include over 1400 participants. The Fontana Days Run provides participants with a safe, festive, well organized event. The 54th Annual Fontana Days Run will feature a Half Marathon Run (13.1 miles), Children’s Healthy Half Mile Dash, 5K Family Fitness Walk, 5K (3.1 miles)Run/Race Walk, Vendors, Exhibitors, Live Entertainment and Finish Line Festivities.
