Hey I know this is such a CRAZY time of the year, but let me throw something else at you that might tickle your fancy! At the CUW boutique I bought some essential oils from the Doterra booth. I got so excited about what they were saying that I agreed to have a party. I have since been talking around and I'm hearing some incredible experiences about people all over that love this natural kind of healing and have had some amazing results. I am NOT looking for sales or incentives, I really just want to educate myself . So the pressure is off. Come on over if you think this is something that might be of interest. I'm excited!

Hat and Scarf Lady

Hi, Ladies:

I hope many of you get to see this post. Judy, the hat and scarf lady is coming to my house to sell her creations on Monday morning, November 28th, from 10:30 - 1:00pm. Many of you wanted to get her info to order more, so I thought this way, I could help her and help you at the same time. No need to ship.

Come and get some of your shopping done so that you can ship it out before Christmas. Please come. She is coming all the way from Anaheim and has been crocheting like crazy.

Christmas Lights on Thoroughbred St

First let me just say how much we miss Suzanne. She was always so good at doing this every year. We were talking at the park today and realized we needed to post this and get it organized. :) So...

Monday December 19th- for FHE- we are going to go see the Christmas lights on Thoroughbred St. in Alta Loma. We are meeting at the Park N Ride on Beech at 5:30 to caravan over there.

Afterwards for those interested- we'll go to Denny's (on Baseline just off the 15) for dinner/ hot cocoa.

If you are planning to come to caravan leave a note here on the blog so we know to wait for you!

PARK DAY! Anyone is welcome to join us tomorrow at Coyote Canyon Park from 10A.M.--1P.M.

A group of us will be there--some will be making the ornaments from Craft Days but anyone can come. It is supposed to 70ish degrees and sunny.

Judy's Hats and Scarves

Hi, Ladies:

Many of you asked about more info on how to get more of Judy's (the hat and scarf lady) stuff to give for Christmas.

I was wondering if you all would like to have her sell again. She is my friend and I could just have her over one evening so that those of you that wanted more or didn't get a chance to buy could come and see her stuff.

Fall Craft Day

Hey Everyone,

I've had some requests to have a Craft Day...So...here goes...

I know it is a CRAZY time of year with all the fun and work of the holidays but I came up with something simple, super cute, and easy. I saw these last year and wanted to try them but just ran out of time. They are PICTURE ORNAMENTS. They are made out of a 2" by 3" wood blocks (which really means 1 3/4" by 2 1/2"). I made up 2 samples--one is an individual picture with the person's name on the back with the date (my example is of Cade--my cutie). It would be fabulous to do one of each family member!! The other is a family shot--it can say "family" or the family name (Damron's for example) on the back with the date. They turned out so cute!!

The other 2 ornaments in the pictures are ideas if you wanted to give a little something to your neighbor, teacher, VT/HT families, family members, etc. Same idea as the picture ornaments but just with words and darling paper that emphasizes the meaning of the words. There is a "merry" (ha, ha!!) idea of "Reindeer Games" in the traditional red and green with darling reindeer paper as well as a beautiful music oriented ornament of "O Holy Night" in cream and grey/black. (I'm happy to do something custom--just let me know)

I love to top presents with small, meaningful ornaments as an extra little touch--it is really a JOY! I also love to get handmade gifts--they are the BEST!! And, for you Grandmas out there--what a sweet gift to give your kids and grandkids. This also could be fun for our kids to do as well for their friends or teachers. Anyone is welcome to come and craft!!

*Now for the Details:

Each ornament is $1 (if you want me to make it for you, they will be $1.50). Money is due by next Friday, November 18. I will cut all the wood, sand and paint over the weekend or so.

*We will get together on the following dates:

Wednesday, November 23--from 10AM to 1PM (I know it is vacation week but we can look at it like a park day.) If the weather permits, we can do this date at Coyote Canyon park--the kids can play and we can craft on the tables. If bad weather, we will do it at my house.

Tuesday, November 29--from 8:30AM to 12:00PM We will be at my house.

Friday, December 2--from 8:30AM to 10AM and 8:00PM to 10PM We will be at my house.

Note: Pictures for the PICTURE ORNAMENTS need to be around 2 1/2" by 2 1/2". Close up shots will work best. I will supply everything else.

stump grinder

Does anyone have stump grinder the size of a lawn mower we can borrow?  We have horrible  massive roots that are in the ground and it keeps us from planting anything.

Elders

I am signed up to feed the Elders this Sunday, but we had something come up and will not be home after church. I am wondering if anyone would like to trade with me? If you feed them on Sunday, I can take a day that you are signed up for. Let me know. Thanks!
